It depends on the season. In winter, you often don’t need ice at all. To reach 5–3 °C, around 5 kg of ice may be enough.
In summer, you might need up to 20 kg to reach the same temperature.

Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. The Recovery POD is designed for year-round outdoor use. Its UV-resistant, weatherproof build ensures durability, even in freezing conditions.
The insulation slows down freezing in winter, though we recommend stirring the water once a day in very cold weather.
How do I keep the water clean?
Always keep the ThermoDome® lid on when not in use.
- Without additives, refresh the water once per week in summer, and every 2 weeks in winter.
- Clean the liner with warm soapy water when refilling.
For best results, use our Ozone Generator — it keeps the water fresh and crystal clear.
How often should I replace the water?
We recommend refreshing your water every 1–2 weeks in summer and every 2–3 weeks in winter if used without additives. With our Ozone Generator or bromine tablets, the water can often stay fresh for 3–4 weeks or longer.

Can I use Epsom salt in my ice bath?

Snel op te zetten , geweldige ervaring
Ik gebruik het ijsbad na het Nordic Walking en ook als aanvulling op mijn oefeningen van de fysiotherapeut.
De cabine is prima in elkaar te zetten. Zorg er wel voor dat je met een blokje of een rubber hamer de boel even aantikt. Anders valt het snel weer uit elkaar als je de hoes eroverheen haalt. Ik had de pech dat er een fabrieksfout in zat. 1 rits i.p.v. 2. Dus de deur moet dan helemaal tot het einde open om erin te gaan en dan is er al stoomverlies. Gelukkig is de klantenservice goed bereikbaar en zorgen ze voor goede adviezen en de oplossing (tent met goede ritsen) is ook alweer onderweg. Vanavond toch willen testen, dus erin gaan zitten en dan met de afstandsbediening aangezet. Rits sluit dan niet volledig, maar staat tegen de schutting, dus het ging redelijk. Erg omslachtig, maar daarna lekker ontspannend. We hebben er een leuk hoekje van gemaakt!

Snelle levering en goede service! In het begin was het wat zoeken om het zeil over de sauna te krijgen, maar eenmaal gelukt werkt hij perfect!
Na een 1-1 sessie koudetraining en een groepstraining zo enthousiast over de uitwerking dat ik besloot zelf een ijsbad aan te schaffen. Dit is een geweldige oplossing, makkelijk op te zetten, mee te nemen en heerlijk om regelmatig te gebruiken. Zo heerlijk ontspannen ben je na afloop. Een echte aanrader!

All for the benefits, maar ik zal heel eerlijk zeggen dat het niet meevalt. Het heeft echt wel gewenning nodig! Ik heb hem gekocht maar de vrouw heeft er minder moeite mee dan ik, haha. Topkwaliteit, deksel had wel wat harder gemogen, kan niet echt zeggen dat het een hardcover is. Ik heb alsnog de Thermodome aangeschaft. Koeler tot nu toe nog niet nodig gehad, die sluiten we in de zomer wel aan :)

De tent om de stokken heen krijgen was nog een dingetje. De ritsen lijken ook niet kei stevig. Nu hij eenmaal staat doet hij het perfect. Oom de afstandsbediening is erg fijn. Snel opgewarmd.
De sauna op zichzelf is zeker goed genoeg. De bouwkwaliteit is helaas toch wel een heel pak minder goed. En het stoeltje is extreem klein. Daar 20 minuten op zitten doet gewoon pijn. De hoes over het frame krijgen was een echte nachtmerrie. Deze zit zo strak dat er zowel 2 verbindingsstukken gebarsten zijn, maar ook dat de rits niet verder open kan dan enkel het linkse stukje.
Zeer tevreden over dit ijsbad. Het materiaal is stevig, goed geïsoleerd en van hoge kwaliteit, waardoor het bad stabiel aanvoelt en lang meegaat. Na gebruik merk ik dat mijn spieren sneller herstellen en ik me zowel fysiek als mentaal frisser voel. Het ijsbad geeft me meer energie, focus en helpt bij ontspanning en stressvermindering. Wij zijn erg tevreden met dit ijsbad! De kwaliteit is echt top en het formaat perfect om er ontspannen in te kunnen zitten. Ook krijg je er handige e-boeken bij. Daarnaast was de levering razendsnel. Het bad en de mat werden snel geleverd, makkelijk op te zetten en in gebruik te nemen. Heerlijk! Helaas is de cover die erbij zit NIET wat er op de foto op de website staat; zeker geen hardcover. Na enig heen en weer ge-email werd deze toch als de juiste cover en ook als hardcover betiteld. Jammer. Wat meer informatie over hoe je het bad koelt (ja met ijs maar hoeveel?) zonder chiller en koud houdt (neemt de omgevingstemperatuur aan) zou fijn zijn. Ook over hoe frequent te legen, gebruik van ozongenerator vs chloortabletten vs geen maatregelen en hoe het beste te legen en schoon te maken zou handig zijn.
